Who are we looking for 🔍

We are looking for HR legal companions (M/F/X) who look beyond the purely legal and want to work in a multidisciplinary manner.

We are looking for HRlegal companions who are obsessed with adding value and finding solutions no one thought of before. We are looking for HRlegal companions who, like us, want to do things differently than what all the law and consulting firms have been doing for years.

hukaroi is a startup. Therefore, we are looking for HR legal companions who seek autonomy and get energy from shaping their own role within hukaroi.

 

What kind of work do we do like this? 💻

It's a bold statement, but the variety of work and opportunities you have at hukaroi is something we don't think you'll find anywhere.

Some of the projects we do:

  • wage cost optimization, both strategically and in terms of (para)fiscal efficiency
  • Guide startups in the startup to working with employees and/or self-employed people
  • supervision of transition of a company to another joint committee
  • pre-merger analysis of wage packages and post-merger advice on harmonization
  • guiding the transition to a new payroll house, mapping business strategy, designing payroll strategy and making payroll cost projections up to 7 years distant
  • Making labor cost projections for a company with a presence in 11 countries
  • legal and strategic analysis around telecommuting and hybrid working, in Belgium and abroad
  • advising on in- and outsourcing, false self-employment and posting of employees in a national and international context
  • advice and guidance in the context of mobility budgets and cafeteria plans
  • mapping the gender pay/diversity gap, guiding companies on reporting under the CSRD and the EU Pay Transparency Directive
  • advising on equal pay for employees and the self-employed and developing a consistent total talent strategy
  • out-of-court advice and guidance on individual dismissal cases
  • restructuring and closure of business
  • ...

Our customers are both Belgian and international companies, ranging from startups with no employees yet to multinationals with +5 000 employees.

What do we expect from you? 🖐🏼

Diplomas and degrees do not say everything, but from our experience we know that it is best to have a university degree in law. Advanced training in social law, taxation/or compensation & benefits or HR management are definitely a plus.

You should have at least 5 years of experience in broad Belgian and international labor and social security law in the context of a big four, law firm, social secretariat or within the corporate world. Experience in comp&ben or HR management is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of both social law and strategy and Excel is not expected. But a strong interest in mastering at least two of these domains is indispensable.

You will have the opportunity to develop all your talents. You really don't have to limit yourself to writing yet another employment contract or policy.

As for availability, we are flexible - though we expect at least 80% availability.

Since we focus on national and international customers, you can work fluently in Dutch, English and/or French. Other languages are always an enrichment.

You are driven to continuously learn new things, develop yourself personally, expand your skillset and grow with a rapidly evolving company.

Your pay package:

  • A gross monthly salary of at least 4,450 EUR, depending on your knowledge and experience, to which an end-of-year bonus and double holiday pay are evidently added
  • A copyright transfer fee, if you create, publish new content, etc.
  • a company car of the type BMX iX1 or a mobility budget of at least 10,000 EUR per year depending on the category of company car and your preferences

We have offices in Ghent and Brussels, but we work hybrid and for clients all over Belgium. In other words, location is not an issue.

Our offices are easily accessible by public transportation.
